Twitter has become one of the important aspect of Social Media now a days. In plain and simple words, Twitter is a micro-blogging service that enables users to send and read text-based messages that are not more than 140 characters, referred to as tweets! As of now, most of us must have learned to manage things within 140 words. Sharing links, stuffing hash tags, quick messages, smiles, laughter, virtual hugs, and what not!.. that’s what all of us have been doing, ever since we joined twitter.

Twitter Lists
To get you out of these troubles, Twitter Lists were introduced. Twitter lists allow you to organize your followers into manageable categories for easy access. Listed below are a few sources from where you can follow quality people on twitter, via Twitter Lists:
1. Fans or Friends
The first and the most obvious source of twitter list are the people following you, referred to as fans and the people you are following. I have been using this source to follow some of the local tweeps from lists made by the people I follow.
In another way, if you converse with people on Twitter, they often add you to conversationalists list, and that is how you get to know more people similar to you! Here goes a screen-shot of twitter lists of Harsh Agrawal of Shoutmeloud.com . You can follow him on twitter @denharsh.
2. Google Search
Google indexes all the public lists from Twitter. You can easily search for any list of your interest by inserting simple keyword after the general list format. That is:
site:twitter.com/*/keyword
Thanks @slimb00 for the tip!
You can install the Add-ons or Plugins for secure Google search!
3. Listorious
It is one of the best and genuine ways to find Twitter Lists to follow. Lists have been categorized on the front page itself, that makes the job much easier! You can search for the People as well as Lists based on the tags you use in the search bar. You can also submit your own Twitter Lists and later on Tweet it to brag about the added list!
Listorious has Twitter OAuth support. You can follow interesting lists by signing in via OAuth or by viweing the List on twitter in a separate window. In short, Listorious is a directory of Twitter Lists!
4. Mashable Twitterlists
Similar to Listorious, Mashable also has a directory of Twitter Lists. The lists have been categorized based on countries, cities, profession, etc. that makes it easy to add the list of your choice. You can use search tab to search with separate tags/keywords.
5. TweetDeck Directory
Recent upgrade of TweetDeck brought the TweetDeck Directory page to my notice. Just like the above mentioned websites, tweetdeck has also categorized the lists to make it easier to find the list of your interest. You can also search the directory!
Lists are also rated based on certain criteria on individual lists’ pages, to help you decide for the appropriate list. This is not enough, if you are logged into TweetDeck, you can either follow the list on twitter, or add it directly to TweetDeck or comment on lists page!
Don’t forget to drop your comments! Let us know if you have any other source to add Twitter Lists!
If i have successfully brought you to the end of the article, you can subscribe to TechTickle feeds or you can follow me @SahilMalhan and @techtickle on twitter.
That’s all folks!
