Google.com now allows you to add custom background image to its homepage by choosing from the provided images or by uploading an image of your choice. Google has been celebrating special occasions by placing creative Doodle’s on its homepage, and some recent changes to its homepage include the availability of secure search and search options as well.
Currently this feature is available on google.com only. To change the background image, head over to google.com and click Change background image on left-side at the bottom of the page.

You can choose the image from you computer and picasa album, or you can use the public gallery at picasa or use editor’s picks. Here’s how my homepage looks like:

Till now all of us have seen google.com with a plain white background, and infact google is much known for the simplicity and decency of its homepage. But, now you can make it look the way you want it to be! This is somewhat similar to amazing background images at Bing.com where you are allowed to change background image as well.
Firstly the inclusion of sidebar and now the idea of custom backgrounds! Google appears to be going the “Bing” way. What do you think about it?
