After “Batman: Arkham Asylum”, Its Time for “Batman: Arkham City”

The “Silent Guardian” is back people! The much anticipated announcement finally came in from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE) regarding the name and expected launch dates for the sequel of its award winning game “Batman: Arkham Asylum”.

The Rocksteady Studios officially kicked off the announcement for the website of the next Batman game after the Huge success of the prequel “Arkham Asylum”. The sequel has been named as Batman: Arkham City.

Gotham’s hyper secure prison village will be open to the public in the Fall of 2011.

The description of the game as announced:

Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, this highly anticipated sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman world, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight.

The characters expected to appear in the sequel, so called Batman: Arkham City include: Cat-woman, Mr. Freeze, Talia al Ghul, Two-Face, The Riddler and the all time favorite “JOKER” making an appearance for the last time. You can check out the game’s official website.

No other details were provided except that the game is expected to launch on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 at some point Fall 2011.
