Amazing New Features of Lucido Avant Window Navigator
Avant Window Navigator(AWN) is still the best dock available for Linux. This application adds a charming flavour to your desktop environment on Linux. Lucido has been merged into Avant Window Navigator and recently new 3D style was introduced in Lucido AWN. The new release has been put on repositories and you can grab it just by following the instructions at the end of this post.
In new AWN you can drag the applets to change their positions. There’s a new slick workspace switcher applet and most important update is that, there is an applet for notification daemon. Here are some new features and applets previews:
How to Install Lucido AWN in Ubuntu from Repositories
Copy the following commands to linux terminal to grab the latest AWN.
If you have any previous installation of AWN, remove it from this command:
sudo apt-get remove avant-window-navigator avant-window-navigator-data awn-settings awn-applets-c-core libawn1 vala-awn && sudo apt-get autoremove
Add PPA repository
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:albyrock87/lucidoppa && sudo apt-get update
Install the new release
sudo apt-get install avant-window-navigator-trunk awn-applets-c-core-trunk awn-applets-c-extras-trunk awn-applets-python-core-trunk awn-applets-python-extras-trunk
