Apple iOS 4.0.1 Released for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G
Yesterday, apple released the firmware upgrade in form of iOS 4.1 for the developers, and today for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G users, the firmware update is available in form of iOS 4.0.1. The update addresses the antennae signal reception issues for iPhone 4 users.
The firmware is no different from iOS 4.1 except that it may be a possible solution to reception issues as it brings in a changed formula to determine the number of bars for signal strength display.
Plug-in your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G, and iTunes will automatically detect the firmware changes available for your device. If you have a jailbroken iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS for multi-tasking and background wallpaper, then this update will remove the additional features until further unofficial fix for these features!
