Browse Anyone’s Old Facebook Wall Posts & Status Updates with Archivedbook

Posted by Sahil Malhan On November - 2 - 2010

Ask me, I have spent hours searching for a wall post before I came across this! The not so famous website Archivedbook lets you browse/search Facebook wall posts and status updates of your profile. Not only your own, but it presents a history of wall posts and status updates of anyone in your friend-list in a chronological order.

From last few days I was trying to figure it out and I stumbled across Archivedbook. Searching for previous wall posts or status updates on your own wall is like refreshing old memories, give it a try!

The current structure at Facebook makes it a difficult to search or surf across older wall posts and status updates. It may be a little embarrassing to read some of them but its like re-living your Facebook past.

How to Search Wall Posts on Facebook

Facebook features like download your information and Facebook Friendship Pages may allow you to search Facebook wall posts but are still incomplete in respect to what we are talking about.

Head over to Archivedbook.com and click on “Connect” button to begin a session with Facebook Connect. Next, a new window will pop-up, click “Allow” to begin the search operation!

That’s it, you will see the Facebook wall posts and Status updates in a chronological order. From the drop-down menu besides your profile image, you can choose to view any of your friend’s Facebook wall history!

Some features of Archivedbook; The Facebook Time Machine

That was the first impression of this website on me, The Facebook Time Machine! Have a look at some of its useful features:

  • Surf old wall posts and status messages posted on the wall.
  • Check the number of likes and comments posted on profiles.

The developer, Grégory de Jonckheere assures that Archivedbook won’t store anything. No wall messages, statuses or information about you or your friends stored.

Facebook Security: Direct Connection to the website through Facebook Connect ensures safety of Facebook passwords.

You can share the same with your friends and let them know about the useful website!

Great site and application. How can I (Can I?) apply this to a GROUP I am in, besides my own page. Friends names are featured in a drop down on the left side. But not my groups or other pages I visit. I think this idea would also be desired by many. Thanx in advance, Mark Hill
