While watching videos online, you must have noticed that the thing that troubles the most is the amount of distraction posed by various tabs, ads and other columns on the webpage serving these videos. Specially when you are not watching the video in full screen. Its not always that you watch videos in full screen. There is a solution in google chrome that maintains good amount of experience as well!
Turn it off!
Turn Off the Lights is similar to what it sounds like! It allows you to dim all the elements on the webpage, except the video. You can customize the settings by choosing opacity level and your own cinema background colour. You can install the extension from the download link at the end of this page.
You will love to have such an extension while watching FIFA World Cup 2010 matches Live online!
After the installation, it creates a bulb icon next to address bar. With a click of the mouse, the page starts fading to dim, except the video and you can easily revert it back to normal by clicking the bulb again! Here is a screenshot of the awesome experience:

There is a shortcut key “T” to use this extension and watch the video in theater mode. The extension works for all websites containing embedded videos whether the video is HTML5 or any video format on youtube and similar website.

Enjoy the Theater experience on your computer!
