Facebook hosts some of the quality videos available on the internet, uploaded by the users but it doesn’t allow users to download or export videos from facebook. The videos once viewed completely, are automatically downloaded to temporary files in any browser. The problem occurs when one has to search for the video from the temporary files.

For Internet Explorer, after watching full video on facebook, follow the steps mentioned below:

• Head over to Tools>>Internet Options>>Settings>>View Files.
• Search for the files with larger size. Since the videos will be with unknown names and file types as is the case with temporary files.
• Move these files to another folder and rename the file type to .flv
• Play the video using FLV player.

Follow the similar procedure to retrieve the video from temporary files in any browser!

For Firefox, there is a simpler way to download the videos from facebook. Firefox users need to install a Greasemonkey Facebook video script from userscripts.org. Here is how your video will look after the installation of script.

Greasemonkey Facebook video script provides some extra features that are not available on facebook. It allows you to download and convert facebook videos, and even embed the videos outside of facebook! If you are installing the userscript, then make sure you have Greasemonkey Add-on installed on firefox.

• Embed this Video: To embed the videos outside of facebook.
• Customize Code: Edit the height and width of the video, helping you to optimize the video dimensions before sharing it elsewhere.
• Download Video: Download video directly, which is in mp4 format by default.
• Convert Video: To convert video to the format of your choice and availability. Makes use of online video conversion by Zamzar.com . Select the desired format, convert the video and enter your email address, where the downloaded video will be sent.
