Shedding its beta tag, opera mini 5.1 is ready for android market with improved performance and better web experience. It has been optimized for android powered mobile phones for PC like web browsing experience.

According to Lars Boilesen, CEO of Opera Software,
“Opera Mini 5.1 for the Android platform is the next step in bringing the world’s most popular mobile web browser to all major platforms, offering improved performance and great web experience to almost any handset,”.
Opera Mini 5.1 will allow users to do tabbed browsing, manage their passwords, bookmarks and Speed Dial, from within mobile phones. Delivering easy web access, it compresses the content by nearly 90 percent before making it available to the user, cutting down the data costs and page load time as well.
