Facebook, Orkut & Myspace Desktop Client – Scrapboy
Its been a long time since i joined Orkut and Facebook, and i have always felt the need of a Desktop client that makes brings my social media profiles all together. Scrapboy – A Desktop client to manage your social networks Orkut, Facebook and MySpace is one such tool, that brings multiple social media profiles under a single roof. Scrapboy makes life easy for you, since you can receive updates directly on your desktop, without visiting the websites individually.
The simple User Interface lets you use the client with ease to view your own and friend’s profile, scrapbook, album and friend list.
Some of the features of Scrapboy are:-

- Notifications – Get a notification whenever you get a new scrap, a friend request, a fan, etc in the form of a pop-up window along with a sound! You can fully control your notifications and updates by filtering the updates you want to receive by subscribing and unsubscribing to friends.
- Privacy – Browse through the photo album of your friend without letting them know about it. Thus, your profile will not appear in their recent visitor’s list.
NOTE- You cannot view photo comments with Scrapboy.
You need to grant permission to the Scrapboy Application to pull information from your Facebook account. After you are done with that, you can easily browse through your facebook profile right from you desktop.
- Improved Facebook Chat – A messenger like chat, chat with any of your friends, view chat history, choose from a number of emoticons, invisible mode available, send files in chat, and many other features that you won’t find in the regular facebook chat.
- Multipurpose Window – Use a single window on your desktop to write wall posts, view photos or Facebook chat, open and view multiple friends walls, photo albums and chat windows at the same time.
- Customized & Cleaner Updates from friends – Easily search friends on the search bar. Select the friends you want to get updates from and the type of updates that you want to see.
- Detagged Photo and Wall Post Viewer – View even the deleted wall posts and photos in a slide show, from your friends. Get notified whenever a friend deletes a photo or wall post through instant pop-ups.
- Live Agenda – Keep yourself updated with friend’s birthdays and events. Set timers, to notify you sometime before the event or birthday.

The client is available for WIndows only. I am using the client for my Orkut and Facebook accounts and it worked off pretty well. I don’t have MySpace account yet, if you have one, you can try it there too. Let us know your experience with ScrapBoy!
