Firefox 4 Beta 1 Officially Released to Public [Download Now]
Just a few days ago, mozilla was seen rolling out the first beta build of Firefox 4 silently, on its ftp servers. This morning, the company officially released the first beta to public on their website. Firefox 4 beta 1 comes with a host of new features, most of which are related to revamped UI and extended support for HTML5, WebM and HD video standards.
Firefox 4 beta 1 for windows OS comes with “tabs on top” feature which is expected to come to Linux and Mac OSX versions as well, before the final release. A new Add-Ons manager has been added which lets you discover add-ons easily to improve your browsing experience. With the support for WebM video standards, you can watch HD quality videos in firefox. Some privacy improvements have been made, bugs fixed and not so major speed improvements in the first build of Firefox 4.
The future updates of Firefox 4 will add WebSockets for real-time interaction between developers, crash protection for uninterrupted browsing in Windows, Linux and Mac OSX, and more.

The first release candidate is safe for browsing, but all the add-ons from previous version of firefox may not be supported. So, if you want to have your add-ons as well ported to Firefox 4, then you will have to wait for more stable release or final one! Otherwise, the beta is stable for browsing purpose!
