Firefox 4 Beta 2 Now Available for Download
Firefox 4 has been updated to second beta, which is now available in 23 languages. The update brings tabs on top of the browser for Mac and Windows users. Firefox 4 beta 1 was released a few weeks ago with new features including revamped UI and extended support for HTML5, WebM and HD video standards.
According to mozilla, the tabs have been moved to the top to make it easier to focus on the Web content and easier to control the tools in Web browser.
Release Notes:
- Firefox 4 Beta 2 is available in 24 languages.
- Tabs are now on top by default on Windows and OSX - Linux will be changing when the theme has been modified to support the change.
- You can turn any tab into an “App Tab” by right-clicking on it and selecting “Make into App Tab” from the context menu.
- Web developers can animate content using CSS Transitions.
- Responsiveness and scrolling improvements from the new retained layers layout system.
- JavaScript speed improvements due to engine optimizations.
- Changes to how XPCOM components are registered in order to help startup time and process separation.

I regularly use the new betas as well as the nightly versions and I must say mozilla keeps hitting it out of the park more and more every day
