The journey of Firefox 4 started with the silent release of Firefox 4 beta 1 by Mozilla at its FTP servers. The case was no different a few hours ago, with the beta 4 of the candidate build for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux available for download on Mozilla’s FTP servers. Finally, with the official announcement, beta 4 is available for download.
A few weeks ago Mozilla added Windows 7 Multi-Touch support and Faster Graphics as major improvements to Beta 3 of Firefox 4.
What’s New in Firefox 4 Beta 4
The latest release is focussed to provide greater control over web experience with data syncing over devices and organizing tabs made simpler with Firefox Panorama (previously called tab candy). Here’s what the beta 4 has to offer:
- Firefox 4 Beta 4 is available in 39 languages.
- Firefox Sync is now included by default.
- Users can organize their tabs using Firefox Overview.
- An experimental API is included to provide more efficient Javascript animations.
- Firefox now supports the HTML5 video “buffered” property.
