Google integrated real-time search features into search results at the end of last year. Bringing real-time content from various sources including social networks like Twitter, Facebook and other news & discussion available on the web in form of blog posts, the real-time search updates were introduced right into the usual search results.
Google has announced that the real-time information will now be available with better tools and its own home. All the real-time updates and tools will now be available at: Google.com/realtime. Although, nothing is available at this url as yet, but you can check out the Realtime page, till the actual one is activated. Its working now!
What’s New in Google Real-Time Search?
Google has allotted a new url to real-time updates, which makes it easier to directly search for updates. The tools to help you browse through the updates are available in the sidebar. You can create real-time alerts for the specific updates and receive those topic based updates directly into your inbox on daily or weekly bases.
Now you can browse through twitter conversations in form of re-tweets and replies, put together in form of bunch of updates starting from the oldest to the latest and also giving you the ability to view entire conversation in one go with the “full conversation” feature.
You can refine the real-time updates based on geographical location, to find updates from a specific region, that includes the area near you or specifically mentioned by you at the “Custom location“.
