iH8sn0w, the developer of sn0wbreeze has pushed an update on the jailbreaking tool that lets you prepare custom firmware on windows(similar to PwnageTool on Mac) to jailbreak your device. Sn0wbreeze 1.7 now also supports jailbreaking iOS 4.0 on iPod Touch 3G only if you have 3.1.2 SHSH blobs saved or the device is on 3.1.2 firmware.
Alternatively, for official carrier users, we have redsn0w0.9.5 to jailbreak iOS 4 on iPhone 3G/3GS and iPod Touch 2G for windows and Mac OSX. Also, PwnageTool 4.01 is available to jailbreak iOS 4 using custom firmware! And ultrasn0w 0.93 to unlock it on any baseband.
