Google has finally rolled out rich text signature support to Gmail signatures after a large number of requests from the users. Without the use of any greasemonkey scripts or add-ons, you can change color & font of the signature text, add formatting and images into your account signature, replacing the simple text based ones. Currently, only the high bandwidth version of Gmail supports this feature.

If some of you are still wondering what “signature” in Gmail means, then in plain words, it refers to the few lines of text(name or nick) inserted into an email automatically, so as to syndicate it. If you haven’t setup your Gmail signature yet, follow the instructions below.
Adding Rich Text Signatures with Images to Gmail
Head over to “Settings” and in the “General” tab, go to “Signature” section. Noticed the new rich text signature editor? Use it to add formatting to your signature and upload image as well. If you have more than one email account associated with your account, then you can create different signature for each account by choosing your account from the drop-down menu.
To insert image into signature, you will have to provide url to the image, which you can do by uploading it to your picasa or flickr account.
