Opera 10.50 came out of Beta this morning with the release of Opera 10.50 final version, that claims to be the Fastest Web Browser available for windows. Yesterday, opera released nearly 4 Release Candidates for the desktop web browser which took the number of Beta releases to 7. And, the pace at which development took place, Opera has taken care of every minute detail that includes bug fixes, crash fixes and minor tweaks for better browsing experience. In nearly 2 months, opera has gone from per-alpha to final release!
A new look has been given to UI that makes the browser look better. The new JavaScript engine – Carakan, makes Opera 10.50 even faster than the Latest version of other browsers including firefox 3.6 and even Google chrome 4.0 . A comparison of the browsers is available on opera blog.
Some of the features of the release are listed below-
- Private Browsing – Now hide your activities on web! Available as private window or private tab. Though, opera may be the last browser to provide such a feature, but its implementation seems to be the best.
- Faster JavaScript Engine – 8 times faster Browsing experience.
- Opera widgets – Run each widget separately on your desktop.
- Windows Integration – Aero glass, Aero peak and Jump list support provide a better look to the browser.
- Support For Web Standards – Full CSS 2.1, features HTML5 for video support and also supports CSS3 for enhanced effects.
Other improvements include better search, auto-completion of addresses, better dialogue boxes, etc. For detailed info and more features, visit Opera 10.50 features section.
For Mac and Linux lovers, the browser is under development and will be available for download soon. Windows users can Download Opera 10.50 for Windows now. Enjoy super fast browsing and let us know your experience with the “Fastest Browser”.
