Twitter Introduces Profile Preview Feature – Hovercards
In an effort to improve user experience on its website, Twitter today introduced a new feature called Hovercards. Worth mentioning that twitter’s popularity is also due to thousands of different ways to Post and View tweets. And, many of these clients provide you with extra functionalities!
An announcement made on the twitter Blog read-
On any timeline, as its namesake suggests, Hovercards are cards which appear when you hover over a username or avatar. The cards display additional information about the person and allow you to interact with them while staying within the context of your page.
We have a Screenshot of the newly introduced feature. Hovercards will be rolled out in phases to the users, and might not be available right away to you.
Hover over a person’s username in your timeline, and this feature will provide u with their profile information, location and lets you know wheather you follow them or not. With the Options menu, you can follow, block, mention, or report them without moving off the page . Sending direct messages to your follower(s) is also an available option.
We personally liked this feature. It is very useful, and lets you take a note of people without reaching out to their profile pages. Comment, and let us know if it is active for you. Tell us what do you think about it?
