Ubuntu team has announced the release of Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS. The first maintenance release of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx) comes with security updates and bug fixes to maintain stability with 10.04. The release includes updated desktop, server and installation CDs for i386 and amd64 architectures.

An updated installation media has been provided to make sure that fewer updates are downloaded once you install it. The updated version along with the post-release notes should be available by tomorrow.

The Long Term Support (LTS) release of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS continues to be supported with maintenance updates and security fixes until April 2013 on desktops and April 2015 on servers.
