With a new default theme “Twenty Ten” replacing “Kubrick“,WordPress 3.0 comes with a lighter user-interface, a contextual help documentation and a bulk plug-in uploader. WordPress 3.0 features custom backgrounds, headers, shortlinks, custom menus, post types and many other new features to improve its look.
WordPress 3.0 offers a new API and the merge of MU and WordPress, that lets you run a number of blogs from a single installation of WordPress, thus providing the much-awaited multi-site functionality. It took nearly six months and 218 contributors fixing a number of bugs to build the new version of the famous blogging software.
